Proof of concept or Appstore?

Hi There;

I have an idea for an app that is better suited as a proof of concept on how the API could tackle pain points suffered by both Enterprise and Individuals, in both workplace and Commerce.
it might not be suitable for public app stores though, Would that be fine? or an app store candidate would be best way to go?

Thanks!

    Hi Tamer!

    As far as this hackathon goes, the app has to be published into either the App Store or Google Play to be eligible.

    Having said that, if you have something that's more POC or strategically-minded, we'd be more than happy to chat with you about your idea outside the hackathon.

    Simply email: spencer@alohar.com

    Thanks!

    Just to clarify, in section 4B(v) it states: "Public Distribution: The Maker may make the Application available to the public via an online store, but is not required to do so prior to the end of the Challenge Submission Period."

    Are you saying that one of the other methods specified in that section (Crashalytics, TestFlight, HockeyApp etc.) will not be sufficient, and that the app has to be published in an app store?

    Hey Alex,

    Actually thanks for catching that.

    We recently extended the deadline submission and as a part of that, we also dropped the requirement that it needs to be made public in the consumer app stores in an effort to make it as easy for you guys as possible...i.e. not have things get held up by the approval process.

    What you cited is correct.

    Thanks!
