App Submissions dilemma

Is it necessary to upload built android app on to play store for Alohar Context-Aware hackathon? Or its okay if I send a dropbox or Drive link where you could download APK file for testing?

I am bit confused by the submission guideline mentioned in the devpost.

    Hi Venkatesh,

    For Android apps, simply upload your .apk file (your choice what service, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc) and merely provide the download link to us in your submission. That's it. You do NOT have to submit it to Google Play.
